Pizza-Flavored Kale Chips

- 2 large bunches of kale, de-stemmed and torn into large pieces
Pizza Sauce:
- 2 large tomatoes
- ½ onion
- 4-5 garlic cloves
- ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes
- 1 cup cashews
- 3-4 tablespoons nutritional yeast
- 1 tablespoon dried onion powder
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- Juice of ½ lemon
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 cup water
Instructions:
- Wash and thoroughly dry the kale. Remove the stems and tear leaves into large pieces.
- Prepare the pizza sauce by combining all sauce ingredients in a high-speed blender. Blend until completely smooth.
- In a large bowl, pour the sauce over the kale leaves.
- Using your hands, massage the sauce into the kale, ensuring each leaf is well coated.
- Arrange the coated kale in a single layer on dehydrator sheets.
- Dehydrate at 45-50°C (115-122°F) for approximately 24 hours, or until completely dry and crispy.
- Allow to cool before serving or storing in an airtight container.
